wireless pci card with PCI 2.1 spec for linux

Discussion in 'Linux Networking' started by Ognen Duzlevski, Oct 4, 2003.

  1. Hi, is there are wireless card (802.11b) that will run smoothly under Linux and is not a PCI 2.2 but a PCI 2.1 conformant?
I have an older motherboard and PCI 2.2 is not supported. To complicate matters further cards like Linksys WMP11 or Belkin
F5D6001 are PCI 2.1 but have two versions (with Broadcom and Atmel chips) which seem not to be supported so if I decide to
go with a card like that, can someone also recommend a good supplier on the net who can tell me what chipset the particular
    card is based on?

    Thank you,
