    Hi,

I would like to tell others that I figured out a way to print to CUPS
from my WIN2K pro workstation without using samba. First, the reason
I don't want to use samba is that to use it required that I activate
the protocol Netbios. Unfortunetly, doing so caused my workstation to
    slow down too much.
(I have a lot of other protocols running and am running Novell Client
    4.83).

First, the workstation has Win2K SP3. I don't know if that is key or
not but it might be important.

When you go though the "add printer wizard" you select "network"
You should see an option requesting "Connect to a printer on the
    internet or on your intranet".

The entry for this field should be like this.

    http://your-server-name:631/printers/your-printer-name.

If it doesn't work, you probably do not have the cups security set
    properly.
    Modify your cupsd.conf file accordingly.

One more thing. I setup the printer type as raw. (I'm not sure if this
is correct or not but I thought that the printer driver on the PC
    would be doing the work)
