    ....and how can I configure it in my new router Fritzbox 7490?

    I want to block windows 8 telemetry (out direction).

    Have you yet connected to its internal web server by using your web
    browser to go http://fritz.box/? That would require you run their
    software installer which would add "<ipaddrs> fritz.box" to the 'hosts'
    file; else, you have to use the LAN-side IP address for the device which
    could be 192.168.0.1, 10.0.0.1, or something else (their manual
    indicates but is clumsy in describing http://169.254.1.1/).

    They don't show screenshots of their web server's screens so I cannot
    tell you where are the firewall options. From what screenshots I found
    for a "fritzbox 7490 configuration" online search, looks like you go to
    the [Advanced->]Internet->Filters tab.
    You'll need a better firewall for that. Firewalls in consumer-grade
    routers have minimal features.
