    "Offer ends: 30.11.07"

Can we have them for lyin, if the offer isn't actually an offer, and it
    doesn't actually end anyway?
It's always that price, and will not be changed after the 30.11.07.

No it's not people have a right to find fault with VM as VM get worse
with every day that passes . VM do not give a damn about the
service they are providing to its customers we do not see in the news
groups the full amount of dissatisfied customers. I subscribe to
various forums on the Internet and each one is full of other members
complaining about VM and the abysmal service they are providing since
the amalgamation of BY etc into VM.

You have the relevant stats., etc., to prove your "VM get worse with every
day that passes" claim I assume? I look forward to reading it.

By all means complain if the service is not as described for an extended
period or whatever, but Gonz doesn't even give a link to a supposed error
    he's found!

That said, why is he bothering with searching the web site of a company he
obviously hates with a passion? I can only assume he's tying to find any and
every little fault he can to throw at them. Which, I re-iterate, is plainly
    pathetic.
Equally, of course, neither do we see the full amount of *satisfied*
customers and, given that the company is /still/ the number one consumer
ISP, I'd say there had to be more of the happy than the un-happy. Unless, of
course, the un-happy are plainly stupid enough to stick with a service
provider they are not happy with!
There you go again with the your blanket statements. No forum is *full* of
people complaining. (where full = 100% by *anyone's* standards.) Yes,
people are moaning and complaining of problems but no, Forums are not *FULL*
of people complaining. Also, some of those complaints have been proved to be
not actually the fault of VM but simply the way the internet works.

  5. Is there nothing about VM you won't defend, no matter how stupid or wrong it
    is.

Your VM FanBoy antics are pathetic really!

If people are fed up with the service the VM are providing, why dont they
just leave. Thats the benefit of a free market, there are loads of possible
ISP that you can go to. Some of you may argue that you are locked into a 12
month contract, but if the service really is that bad, then VM are not
holding up their side of the contract, so you can still leave, they are the
ones that have broken the contract.

Surely if VM started to lose customers on mass, then they would sort out the
    service.

I am afraid that they are holding up their side of the contract if the
complaint is about speed received all VM will do in that instance is
take a large piece of paper out of the drawer with the two little
words in big print written on it and throw it in your face the words
    being "UP TO"
All day yesterday every time I checked speed I was getting I never
topped more than 7Mb and I am on a 20 Mb service ! I am not going to
brake the contract and leave but just cut back to 2Mb then come next
June take great pleasure in telling them what to do with their
    service.

fair point, but still after the 12 months are up, you will leave. I am sure
other customers are going to do the same. Surely VM are taking note of the
customer churn, so are doing something about it. If they are not concerned,
then it can only be a small number of people leaving. Surely if the service
was as bad a some people make out, people would be leaving in droves. The
counter argument would be if the service was as good as other people are
making out, then they would have people joining in droves as well.

The thing is, as with all ISPs, some people will get an excellent service,
some will get dire service. The bit an ISP can control fairly easily and
cheaply is the customer service side. This for the two ISPs I have used
over the last 8 odd years (NTL and SKY), is shocking. The only grace with
sky, is they get my bill correct..this seemed to hard a task for NTL.

I have never had a wrong bill from TW but customer service side of
things is shocking and speed is terrible so I am going to drop down to
2 Mb and wait until next June has I have said .

  11. No they don't. Nobody has a *right* to find fault with anyone or
    anything. What a pathetic remark.
In your opion, in your experience. Neither of which are universally
    borne out.

And before you say it, no. And I'm sure people wonder whether you have
    any undeclared affiliations yourself.

  12. For strict reference, carl DID NOT DEFEND VM. Naturally however, the
anti-VM brigade can't bear to have one of their own contradicted or
    proven wrong.
And you anti-VM fanboys are somehow better?

    Silly prat.

  13. AFAIK mymail is well outside his contract. He could leave anytime.
Depends on the numbers I guess. Churn of service abusers, serial whiners
and general nuisances is typically not an issue for companies tho!
Both arguments are valid. Since neither thing is happening, one has to
assume the service is merely ok - or that choice is so large and the
market so saturated that people really don't care that much.

  15. I'm not anti-VM at all (I have all 4 of their services), but Carl does
defend some of the stupidest things VM do.

Maybe you don't see all the posts he makes in the closed VM Newsgroups us VM
    customers do.

Now you've made a right prat of yourself there!

  17. I congratulate you on an excellent disguise.
I disagree that he defends stupid things. Indeed all I see is that he
objects when VM get blamed for stuff thats b*gger all to do with them,
and when people see conspiracies where cockup is more likely.
I'm a VM customer, I see all the posts - as you should know, if you're
    monitoring the groups too.

However several people do mindlessly attack all and anything with a VM
sticker on it, generally out of nothing more than spite as far as I can
    see.
    Doubt it.

  18. I do defend VM when they are getting blamed for things that's not their
fault, Carl often defends them when they are in the wrong.
True, I do post and view daily, as you should know.

Right, now we've cleared that up, can't we drop the personal attacks?

  19. You may be sure I'll comment on that when I notice it!
Excuse me but I did not start with that.
If people don't start with the "you must be getting backhanders, you're
a shill / sockpuppet / paid stooge, you're shagging the MD" baldocks
again, I'll be civil. If you don't agree with someone, then disagree
civilly and explain why, don't start accusing them of criminality or
    corruption, or gratuitously insulting them.
