    Hi;

    I've got access to a 3com 11g officeconnect PC card for a few days, and I'm
    going to plug it into my laptop, running ME, and see what's out there. Only
    trouble is, as far as I can see, Boingo doesn't support any 3com cards at
    all and netstumber doesn't seem to have a list of supported cards, so I have
    no idea at all what I should try to load up.

    Is it as simple as just "try everything" and see what works? And if so, can
    someone advise me where I'll find a list of "everything" to try? Or is it
    back to Google?

    Thanks;

    Tim

    Are you running WinXP?

    If so, open up you wirless connection's properties and look for the
    "Wireless Networks" tab. If it's there, Boingo is supposed to work.

    There's a link at the bottom of the compatibility chart that tells you that.

    Cheers Bob, but no, I'm running Windows ME.

    Not my fault!!!! That's just what the laptop came with; and at the price I
    paid for it (from Dabs), I was in no position to argue!!

    I understand. I have a laptop running Win2k with a Linksys WPC11 v4. My
    card isn't listed either, but Boingo works just fine.
