Server service does not start - TCP/IP service not available.

Discussion in 'Windows Networking' started by David Sklarew, Jan 29, 2004.

  1. Periodically, when I start Windows 2003, the "server"
service fails to start and is listed as "starting". I do
not see any error messages in the event log that suggest
what the problem is. Any suggestions on how to tackle
this problem? The server starts correctly in safe mode
    w/ networking.

    Thanks,

    David

  2. Use msconfig and disable everything in the startup. If this works then add
one item back at a time until it breaks.
