I'm starting an ubuntu server and for that I have to use a static IP. my modem/router is a TP-LINK TD-W8951ND and I pretend to add a new route. I choose the advanced setup menu -> routing -> add route. Then, I enter the following values:

    Destination IP address: 192.168.1.100
    IP subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway IP address: 192.168.1.4
    Metric: 3
    Announced in RIP: yes

When I try to save this values, it says that the subnet mask is invalid, not allowing me to save. Why does this happen? Are my values correct? If don't, what values should I enter?

    Please answer, thank you.
