    Hello all,

I'm trying to decide between two laptops. One had a Pentium 4 2.6GHz with
Hyper-Threading Technology (and a 15.1 inch screen) and the other has a
    Pentium M 1.5GHz (and a 15.4 inch wide screen).

If I'm trying to compare speed/performance what would the 1.5GHz Pentium M
translate into if you were comparing to the equivalent in a Pentium 4 with
    Hyper-Threading?

The unit with the 15.4 wide screen and the Pentium M 1.5GHz is a little more
expensive so I wanted to see what you guys thought in terms of performance.

    Thanks in advance...

Comparing a M to a non-M, you should check the specs for battery life
if that matters; ISTR that the M has better power-saving.

Many apps do not take advantage of HT. Try to find out if the key apps
you use have been recoded for HT. (I don't have a list, so don't ask.)
