    If it has LAN - N/A in the specs, does this mean the motherboard can't be
    used in a Network?

    It means that there is no local area network (LAN) adapter built-in
    to the motherboard, so it won't work on a LAN unless you add a
    separate adapter. You can buy a PCI LAN adapter for less than £20,
    less than £10 if you know where to look.

    No - it just means that a network card isn't built into the motherboard,
    and you will need a separate network card to fit into a PCI slot.
