Is it possible to usse a MN-500 base station as a
wireless bridge to wirelessly connect a Replay to a MN-
    700 base station.
The option to convert the MN-500 to bridge mode is
available under the options in the base station
management tool. I did that, but I can't get the unts to
communicate. I also can't get the base station management
tool to work using the renamed MN-500 instead of
192.168.2.1, which the help section says should work. I
am thinking that when Microsoft says "bridge", maybe they
don't mean "bridge" as in wireless bridge. You can do
this with the Buffalo Airstation that uses the same chip
    maker as Microsoft.

    Thanks for any replies.

  2. The MN-500 will not bridge wireless or act as a wireless to ethernet bridge
(converter) in the manner you are attempting. Buffalo uses WDS (as do
Linksys, Belkin, etc. who also use the Broadcom chipset in their 802.11g
products). I've actually written about this. See my Expert Zone column on
802.11g and the section on WDS..
