How to install TCP/IP Print server service in Windows 2003 server

Discussion in 'Windows Networking' started by =?Utf-8?B?RE1J?=, Nov 8, 2004.

  1. Our company has an intranet and in order to print a "Print server" was
installed in a Windows NT 4.0 server. Now that server is going to be retired
and a new Windows 2003 server in active.

I need to create a new "print server" in the new Windows 2003 server.
Apparently the intranet is sending the print queue to a UNIX server and from
here it send it to our new server.

According to the configuration I need to install the "TCP/IP Printer Server"
in our Windows 2003 server. Once this is done a service will be added to the
services list. The service's name is "TCP/IP Printer Server I need to
install this service in Windows 2003 server.

Please provide any information that may help solve this problem.

Thank you very much for your help!

  2. Don't know whether it will solve the problem or not. Go to Control
Panel/Add Remove Programs - click on Add Remove Windows Components. Select
Other Network File and Print Services, click on Details. Select Print
    Services for UNIX. See:
