    Hello All,

I have a w2k3 server running RRAS, with VPN, IIS6.0, and FTP. Everything
works fine with the exception of FTP. Every other situation that i have seen
with this problem occures when someone has attempted to change the port from
    21 but i am still using 21.
I am using microsoft NAT (obviously) and all the services are running on the
same server. I can connect and authenticate just fine, but i am unable to
get a directory listing (or any other data). I know its a NAT issue, but im
not sure why. I can access other ftp sites without a problem.

I have restarted RRAS, and i have also set up a linksys router to make sure
that it is the NAT that is causeing the problem, and i can hit the server
just fine when using the linksys. When i first set this up it worked just
fine. I have not done anything or changed anything since then. The server
has Norton AV installed and its up to date - ran virous scanner and the
    server is clean. Any ideas!?!

    Thanks,

    Nate

  2. Hi,
I assume you mean that the FTP service is not accessible from the internet.
You need to allow port 21 full internet access on your firewall and make
sure FTP is bound to your external IP.
