Hello. We're having an issue in our network with the DNS config. The server is running Windows Server 2012, and all PC's are running Windows 7 or 8. If we set the NIC on the PC's to DHCP, the server will give out the IP addresses with no problem. It will, for a short time, use the preferred DNS server as assigned by our internet provider. What happens is that the config for the NIC card will change to a static IP address for the DNS server only. This happens randomly, not at power up or restart. When internet access is no longer available, we check the NIC interface and the DNS address is assigned statically, with its IP address the same as the server. If we statically assign the DNS server normally used, the same thing happens: it will change randomly to the IP address of the server. I am by no means a network specialist, but has me scratching my head. Any suggestions or input are appreciated. And thanks in advance for your replies. Ken C
