    Hey everyone,

I have a network with 12 computers that all have
a reservation in DHCP. Each computers maps up like --
    comp1 = 192.168.0.101, comp2 = 192.168.0.102, etc. The
question is all of the computers are using their
reservation except for one which keeps grabbing
192.168.0.149 instead of 192.168.0.106. At one point
they all used their reservations and now this one wants
to be a rebel and use a standard lease. I tried
recreating the reservation, rebooting, deleting the
lease, and switching from static back to dhcp. It still
goes to that .149 address. Can anyone tell how i could
force it to use the reservation that's in DHCP? THanks,
    Lydell.

  2. The most likely cause ti that you are using the wrong (or miss-typed) MAC
    address.

The MAC was off. You we're right. But how could the MAC
    change like that?

  4. You changed the Network card in the machine? The MAC is permanently
"burned" into the hardware of the NIC. Every NIC has a permanent and unique
    MAC.
