    What is the best way to get Netmeeting working for incoming calls behind a
    Nat'ed firewall setup? I have ip_masq_netmeeting running with relevant ports
    redirected into a single private IP address but calls still won't go through.
    Anyone??

  2. I am now finally starting to understand why Peter T. Breuer is so
    cranky. I just answered this question twice during the last three
    weeks in this very forum!

    I'l just cut and paste the last one.

    For everyone else, how do I simply create a link to a previous post?

    First of all, using those modules, you must open TCP ports 1503, 1720
    and 1731 and all UDP ports above 1024. Even then, the call *must* be
    initiated from the machine behind the firewall.

    You might want to look at using a Gatekeeper instead. Try this;

    http://www.gnugk.org/index.html

    It can be tedious to install. You need to compile the pwlib and h323
    stuff before hand. Try downloading the pre compiled, statically linked
    binary and see if that works first. I'll include my "gnugk.ini" file
    to help ease the pain. Once you can actually get it to work, it works
    very, very well!

    ##
    ## This example shows how to use the gatekeeper as an H.323 proxy.

    [Gatekeeper::Main]
    Fourtytwo=42
    TimeToLive=600

    [RoutedMode]
    GKRouted=1
    H245Routed=0
    CallSignalPort=1720
    CallSignalHandlerNumber=2
    RemoveH245AddressOnTunneling=1
    DropCallsByReleaseComplete=1
    SupportNATedEndpoints=1
    Q931PortRange=30000-39999
    H245PortRange=40000-49999

    [Proxy]
    Enable=1
    InternalNetwork=192.168.100.0/24
    T120PortRange=50000-59999
    RTPPortRange=50000-59999

    [GkStatus::Auth]
    rule=allow

    So guess the answer to my question is that it can't be done for incoming.

  4. Correct. At least not with the modules. It will work with the
    Gatekeeper as a proxy.
