Any 4 port WiFi routers with real USB printer support

Discussion in 'Network Routers' started by Frank Williams, Nov 22, 2011.

  1. I don't need dual band but need a router than can support a
Bother HL 2040 or a Epson R300/310 via WiFi and a USB port.

    Must support XP3/W7 and 802.11n

I read some references to the D-Link's SharePortâ„¢ Technology

Any other brands that offer similar support, Note the Bother HL 2040
is a GUI printer don't know about the Epson.

Its only so a Laptop can share the printer via WiFi with a main PC.

    Thanks

  2. You might want to check out the Asus RT-N16 router.
It has a couple of USB ports on it and is supported by DD-WRT and Tomato
3rd party firmware in case you don't like the factory firmware the
router comes with. An Amazon search for it should fine it new for
around $60 with the Asus discount, at least it was today.

Why waste the money on a wifi printer when you can just share it out via the main PC or get a wired one?
The Asus router is a good one tho. DD-WRT support is a must.
