Hi
I have 2 labtops here in my own house.
They connect to my D-Link 614+.
My D-Link routes the traffic to the internet.
My friend next door has 4 computers.
two desktop models and two labtops.
All 4 have wireless netcards.
He has a ZyXEL ZyAIR B-1000 AP.
Our ISP allow us to have 2 computers connected to the internet at the same
time.
This ends up in, that the 2 computers that gets turned on first gets an IP
from the ISP.
Computer 3 and doesn't get any, and therefor can't access the internet.
My question is, can I setup the ZyXEL ZyAIR B-1000 to behaive the same was
as my D-Link 614+ ?
The ZyAIR doesn't support DHCP, but this could be solved by giving all
clients a fixed IP.
As I see it, the ZyAIR is bridging all traffic, which is just letting
everything through from the wireless network to the internet.
Is this correct ?
And to get it to work, I must get it to route the traffic from the wireless
network to the internet (using NAT ?) ??
I have told my friend that he needs to buy another AP with can acts as DHCP
server, can use NAT and .....
So in short he needs to sell the ZyAIR and buy another one.
Or can I do anything else ?
