For what its worth...

Targeted for teens and sub-teens as a PC'less IM device.

hmmm like a year ago, I asked my kids and all their friends if they
thought such a device was a good idea, and they all said no. I think they
like having a phone too much to essentially go back to just having a pager
(albeit a 2 way pager with text). I guess I polled the wrong group.

Maybe it needed ringtones, changeable faceplates, custom graphics,
built in smilies...parental lockout (to keep getting messaged by
parents).
