ZeroCfgSvc Error

Hi,

Every time I start my Toshiba laptop I get a ZeroCfgSvc MFC Application
failure message. If I 'send error report' the screen closes and the laptop
works fine.

This message is extremely annoying. What is it and how do I stop it?

Is your machine fully up-to-date. i.e. Are you using Windows XP Service
Pack 2 with the latest hotfixes installed?

Update your wireless network card drivers. Go to Toshiba's website for
your specific model laptop and download the drivers from there.

Okay, that's good. The ZeroCfgSvc MFC Application is part of the Intel
wireless management software. You can download the latest software here
which should resolve this issue:

Hi Malke,

Unfortunately, I've already tried this to no avail.

The problem is linked in some way to the WinXP Wireless Zero Config setting
but I've no idea how to resolve this annoying problem.

Try turning off the Windows Zero Configuration service and only using
the Toshiba wireless management utility. Or vice versa.

Read the reply of Ryan Yonger.
This software is part of Intel PROset. Microsoft wzcsvc is not relevant here.
