Zen - recommended? Any traffic shaping?

Hi,

I'm considering migrating to Zen.
Is it still recommended?

On the Zen website I've not been able to find any reference to traffic
shaping or deliberate speed limiting during peak hours. Is there any
such shaping or limiting?

Yesterday I sent two emails to Zen sales asking those questions but so
far I've not had any response... maybe that is a sign that it's not a
good idea to migrate to them?

No experience of Zen but I'm with Be Unlimited and extremely happy with
them.
Their Forum for Members is very good and any problems are answered there
extremely quick by other members and Be staff.
I always expect a customer service dept to answer within 24 hours, I did
with my customers when I was working even if just to say I was working on a
response.
Regards
David

And therein is the issue with Zen - the quality, speed and uselessness of
the response they give.

At least with Plusnet they fully own up to what traffic shaping they
employ (or not) on all of their differing tariff options.

And the issue with this poster is that he is an idiotic troll - so ignore
anything he says.

You're just jealous asshole. The information is correct.

Zen do not use traffic shaping or any other deliberate speed limiting
devices. That is probably why you have not been able to find any
reference to it on their site.

I am surprised that you have had no response from Zen. I have found
them to be very responsive, most helpful and above all competent.

Have you tried contacting customer services ((E-Mail Removed))?

Which doesn't require any intelligence from you at all - just as well,
really.

Funny you should mention that, but when *I* sent a number of sales
enquiries the best I could get was a reply in 9 days:

QUESTION SENT
Aug 10 12:03:18 to=<(E-Mail Removed)>, relay=mailcluster.zen.co.uk
[212.23.6.52]:25 delay=2.3 status=sent (250 OK..)

ANSWWER
Aug 19 15:22:09 RCPT from queue02.mail.zen.net.uk[212.23.3.27]
from=<(E-Mail Removed)>....

Oh yes, they got it. Just shit communication, shit technical staff, shit
admin staff - but the price is right and as long as nothing goes
wrong..............

In which case it meets your level of qualification Bob. How about *you*
quit with the 'I must reply to provoke a reaction' trolling, it's not
really your style and you are, quite frankly, shit at it. Stick with what
you know.

Now the fraudulent Dr Black and his phoney qualifications - there is a
*fine* troll of little intelligence.....
