Recently, my desktop system was infected with a virus cluster...yes, I have
virus and spyware blockers enabled, but it happened just the same. Anyway, I
was able to clean the system, but not before my wireless connection was
corrupted.

I can ping to IP addresses but not to URLs from a command prompt, and IE
cannot display pages. I also can't connect to my e-mail server. I've gone
through a couple of rounds of troubleshooting with Verizon, my Internet
provider, and in both cases we found that the previously acquired IP address
cannot be released, no matter what is done. I have deleted the wireless
connection and let Windows re-create it several times, with no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
