XP upgrade with MN-700?

Couple of questions.

I have a MN-700 router and recently upgraded from Win98SE to XP Home
edition.

After the upgrade, everything works fine, but I cannot locate the MBNU
anywhere, which I realize is no problem because I don't need it with XP, but
I was not aware that XP would automatically remove it. Is it supposed to do
that?

Also, under Network, it shows a working LAN connection, but this does not
seem like a connection that was set up as wireless, although my wireless net
is working fine. Do I need to go into the Wireless configurator and set up
something there?

Last question, the XP I installed included SP2 and it turned on the software
firewall by default. Everything works fine with the XP firewall turned on,
but are there any benefits or detriments to having both it and the hardware
MN-700 firewalls on simultaneously?
