Base station will not assign an IP to USB Adapter MN 510.
I have a 11MB connection to the network from the USB
Adaptor. I see the network from the USB Adaptor. If I set
a static a configuration the basestation doesn't connect
either to the USB Adapter. I have installed XP SP2 today.
I have downloaded the newest updates available for the
basestation. Any advice?

I found the problem. I had Zone Alarm installed but not
running. Even though it was not a start-up program it
prevented the wireless connection. After un-installing
Zone Alarm completely the problem disappeared.

ZA, like Symantec (Norton) products continue to run in the background even
though the user might "exit" the systray icon. That's all the programs do -
remove the icon. They don't stop running.
