Had the same experience.
Called Belkin, they were very helpful.
Recommend you call them.
When you install the software, there are several options, choose easy,
do not chose let windows do utility.
The Belkin utility works better than the windows software.
Also disable the Service Wireless zero connection.
With it enabled, I got disconnects every few minutes.
So I have a Belkin wireless router and USB wireless adapter and Zero
wireless service disables with the Belkin Uiltity doing the scans and
connecrions.
The utility is a good tool.
