XP Pro MN-720 issues

Had a small home network setup with MN-700 router and two
laptops. I initially setup the network with one laptop
as the base station connected via ethernet cable to
router, and the other laptop using MN-720 wireless card.
Things worked well, and I eventually made the base
station wireless. Even after moving, network worked
great. Yesterday, Girlfriend installed XP Pro on her
computer, and all of a sudden, no internet on her
computer. The wireless base station still works great,
and other laptop connects fine if hardwired to router. I
uninstalled all network stuff, and reinstalled. It will
not see the network. I am a novice and have tried
everything to fix this. I am sure that it has something
to do with XP Pro...Please help..

Thanks
Joe

Joe,

First, you have to check to make sure your MN-720
Wireless card is properly installed in Windows XP. In
device manager it's should be listed under network
adapters like "Microsoft Wireless Notebook Adapter MN-
720".

Second step is to check if "Wireless Network Connection"
setting exists under "Network Connections". If it does
exist, check to make sure all of the settings are
correct. Consult documentation on how to configure it
properly under Windows XP.

You should also check some documentation on the web on
how to configure your networking to be more secure.

Thanks,

Leon

Did you install the XP drivers for the NIC in that computer after the
upgrade?
