XP Network drives 'going to sleep'

I have two drives mapped to a server S (shared) and U (user data)

I've noticed that the mapped drives 'disconnect' themselves if not used.
they 'come alive' again as soon as clicked on.

Problem is - I have a program Save-N-Sync that (on PC shutdown) copies my
'My Documents' folder to the U drive. However, because the U drive may have
gone 'asleep' the Save-N-Sync program shutdown without copying and data
(because it can't find the 'sleeping' U drive.

Any way of stopping the network drives from going to sleep?

Clive

i believe there is a box you can untick in properties for the drives that
stops them auto switching
