XP ME Dial up network

Heres the problem:
we have a network with 1 xp machine and 1 me machine in 2
different locations, both with unique names, ect. when i
dial in from ME to XP i can connect, view and do the work.
the problem starts, when i try to connect XP dial in to
ME, i have the dial up server activated, the me machine
establishes the connection with the remote computer, but
when you put in the user name and pw, it rejects them, we
created new user/pw for this dial up network exclusivly.
anyone have any ideas? i am beating my head in to the
dirt, PLEASE Email me a response. i am not in here to
