XP with KB893357

Have loaded KB893357 on my XP SP2 laptop with a D-Link DWL-G650+ card (which
is WPA2 enterprise certified) but I have not got the option of WPA2 within
the wireless network settings and the registry entries from the KB article
are not present either. Is anyone aware of this problem and/or a fix?

The WiFi-Alliance maintains a database of equipment and driver versions that
have completed certification testing.

According to the entry on that site, you need a driver version dated
December 17th, 2004. If you do not have that specific driver version
installed, then you are unlikely to have a WPA2 capable version installed.

Secondly, you can verify that KB#893357 is installed by navigating to:
START > Control Panel
Open "Add or Remove Programs"
Check the box at the top of the page "Show updates"
Inspect the list of installed programs for KB#893357

Double check these elements and reply back.

KB893357 is installed. The driver version you refer to, where did you get
that info? the date refers to the certification date. I have checked the
D-link site (again) and even though the driver dates are the same the cat
files are different so I have installed the later version. This has made no
difference.
