Two computers A and B.
Laser printer,

Printer to print from computer A.

Webtel Wireless router (model 327w) serves both computers A and B.

Verizon Internet provider.

Printing and networking worked for a while printing from A and that is the
configuration I wish to maintain.

I lost the networking capability when had to reinstall drivers since the
older driver kept crashing my system(s) in both computers.

Please help me reestablish the networking in total detail on all steps,

and to eliminate traces of old setup as it shows up in Add Printer setup in
computer B dialog box for which there are now three (3) setups for the
printer, showing my computer name and I can not get computer A and C to
link.

How can i really start from scratch?

Hope this makes sense.
robert

Hi
Hi
Successful Sharing and network printing involves some general consideration
in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
Vista File and Printer Sharing-
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/net.../vista_fp.mspx
Basic XP -
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...lesharing.mspx
Advanced XP - http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;304040
Printer Sharing XP -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...utt_july2.mspx
Windows Native Firewall setting for Sharing XP -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875357
Windows XP patch for Sharing with Vista -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922120

After configuring every thing correctly delete icons and links that are
residuals of the old Network.
If some thing is Not delete able leave it alone, it would disappear after a
while when the Network stabilizes.

The main issue was the Firewall and Anti Virus.

Once I turned them TEMPORARILY OFF ,

XP did the rest and I hard connected the printer to computer A and a test
page printed the request sent via computer B to printer connected to
computer A.

Thank you,
Robert
