Follow-up: microsoft.public.windows.server.general
I'm running RIS on a 2003 server on a local domain deploying XP home Dutch
and XP Prof. Dutch to a client with a Intel Pro 100 NIC (no PXE support so I
used the RIS bootdisk which supports all of Intel Pro 100 series. When I
choose to install "XP Home Dutch" and verify my access and login
succesfully. I get a computeraccount, global unique ID and see from which
server i'm installing then I get a reboot and see the setup coming up.
When it wants to repartition the harddisk I get the error "Setup can't
format the partition. There's not enough memory or there are damaged files
on the Windows XP CD-ROM. Setup can't continue. Press F3 to exit". When I
run setup from a CD-ROM I don't get this error, only when I'm running it
with RIS. The PC has a intel P3 with 512MB RAM, should be enough though ?
Anyone who has a suggestion ?
regards,
Chris
