XP Home PC can ping by IP but not Name over Private VPN connection

I set up a private VPN from off site warehouse to office so it is an
extension of our network. All other computers work great with drive
mappings to the WIndows 2K3 server but this XP home notebook will not.
I checked to verify that the ip addy of the DNS server was correct and
it is. But can not ping server by name just by IP address. Is there a
way around this without upgrading to XP Pro?

if using nslookup, where the DNS point to? Or any errors?
