Yes, indeed - you can access resources on a domain even if you can't join
it. Presuming good network connectivity between computer/server, and you
have a valid ID/pw on the server - you can map a drive either in Explorer or
in a command line. For the former - in Explorer, tools | map network drive -
specify that you want to use different credentials, and choose the
letter/server/share - or for the latter
net use x: \\servername\sharename /user:domainname\username <enter>
