XP deactivating wireless processor

I purchased a Dell Centrino 1.4 processor off corporate lease it has
preinstalled windows XP the company that were using these computers
deactivated the wireless chip through the window software. How can they do
this and how can I reactivate it.

Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager

Expand the Network Adapters category and find the entry for your
wireless adapter. Right-click it to enable it. Apply and OK out. Set up
your wireless.
