xp compuert sees printer on 98 system, 98 competer can't see printer on XP compu

Try logging on Win98 with the same username/password as XP.

I changed my XP printer to a shorter name and now my 98
box can see it but can't print. Tell me more about
disabling the XP's firewall. Do I really want to do
that? Wont' that put me at risk using the internet?
