XP Client & logon script message

On an XP machine I sometimes get "The system cannot find the path specified.
The network connection could not
be found. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2250" when loggging
in and running the login script.

If the machine is rebooted it generally logs on OK and maps the drives. What
causes this and how can I improve the situation please?
