XP & WIN2000 on LAN with MS Basestation

Both computers can get to the Internet and work great.
Both are members of the same workgroup (HOME). The
WIN2000 PC can see the XP PC, but the XP PC can't see the
WIN2000 PC and neither of then can access shared files or
folders. I've been through all the FAQs and nothing
helps.
