I had a similar problem like this a while ago, when I was
first setting up my network, with the very same setup you
have described here. Although I never got a memory error
message, I got one that sounds a lot like it. What I did
was I installed the NetBeui protocol on all of the
computers. I read on these forums that it is quite
reliable. Here's the catch: It's unsupported by Windows
XP. If you search the knowledge base for "NetBeui" with
XP as your product, you'll find instructions on how to
install it. As for adding it on the 98 computer, it
sounds like you already know how to add protocols. Try
this and tell me if it works.
