Xbox MN-740 password

How can I reset the password on my MN-740 wireless xbox
connector. i'm trying to update the firmware and I can't
remember my old password. Any help is appreciated.

I would reset the adapter by pressing the RESET button on the back for
whatever amount of time the manual says. I think this will reset ALL your
settings though.
