Xbox live with Microsoft wireless adapter won't work

Help. Trying to use the Microsoft XBox wireless adapter.
Have everything configured, show up as connected to
router, but then error message says "network gateway not
found." I've manually configured everything, typing in IP
and DNS and Gateway exactly. Still nothing. Anyone have
any ideas? Thanks.
