Hi all,

I need your help.

I currently have wanadoo broadband with the alcatel frog modem. What I want
to do is connect my x-box.

My question is this- Is it as simple as installing a pci network card in my
computer and connect my x-box that way (because the modem doesnt have an
ethernet connection) or do i need to buy a modem router and connect my pc
(via network card) and x-box to this?

Thanks in advance
Regards
Neil

As far as I know, you can buy a PCI network card for your PC then use
Internet Connection Sharing for your XBOX

or

you can buy a new modem with combined router and go that method.

I am on Telewest and connecting betwork cables into the mix is a lot easier,
but I would say go the modem/router option my self :-)

That's exactly what I use. My PC already had 10/100 networking installed,
but a cheap card is all you need.

Then get yourself a crossover patch cable (20m from screwfix direct for a
fiver).

Enable Internet Connection Sharing ... Start-->Settings-->Network
Connections, right click on the frog and click Advanced.

Away you go.

Si.

The cable's a fiver, but the P & P is more than that!

Really? Maybe you should look up spamming fuckwit. I don't claw out
old posts just to advertise my own business, most people wouldn't have
any idea who A.C.S. Ltd. are, how's that spamming?
In fact, don't bother answering.
