Hello,
I recently upgraded from SuSE Linux 7.2 to 9.2.
My Linux box is connected to the Internet and setup
to forward into a home LAN.
I want to be able to not login locally, but via telnet only,
then start a dial-up connection.
There seem to have been changes, although I can dial-in
with wvdial via telnet to the Linux box, I cannot access any
Internet services from within my LAN. This had worked without
problems in 7.2.
When I log in locally on the Linux box and start kinternet
from KDE, everything works just fine, I can receive mail
and browse the WWW from the LAN box.
Looking at the log output from kinternet, it seems to me
that wvdial is (now?) somehow 'embedded' in something else.
Any ideas what may be wrong or to how start wvdial via telnet
such that I can leave the Linux box in the corner without logging in
locally?
Thanks a lot.
Mit freundlichen Gruessen
