I plan to start using the WUSB11 (Linksys) as a kismet device under
Linux. With kismet you can not monitor and be on a net at the same time.
I believe that has to do with the mode of the card and not the software.
How does this device play with Linux. I'm required due to space
restraints to use a USB device. I was thinking of picking up the
Linksys and start using it.

1) Does it have a decent distance?
2) Can I attach a much better external
pringles can to it to get better distance?
3) Will it work with 2.4.18?

Thanks,
Chris

I'd like to know the same...
did you check http://www.linux-usb.org/ ?

...there are various versions of WUSB11, I think the latest is ver2.6 (btw
it's TiVO's recommended adapter - so it's definitely possible to make it
work in Linux environment), but the ver 2.6 has no reference on
linux-usb.org. Also don't know about the kernel, I have the same 2.4.18
(SuSE 8.0)and it may be a problem.
