not sure what that site is or what it's loading for...
I use firefox and ad block plus. If you load up a web page, you
can click on the adblock icon on firefox and select / add sites to
block. On a page that accesses
http://static.scribd.com/ you can just
add
http://*scribd.com/* to the block list and it won't be loaded by
firefox. I speed up a lot of page loads that way... there is a ton of
crap that is loaded when ever you go to many sites. using adblock to
block these sites from loading speeds things up a lot.
