Hi

Title says it all, I'm after a small 10/100 hub or switch, something
the size of a couple of audio casette cases. Before anyone suggest
google putting in small and network just leads to lots of suitable for
small office in the hits

Only need 2 ports but I guess it will be a 4, can be a hub or a switch
as it never going to be over taxed traffic wise, but it's for behind
the TV for the xbox and the Tivo so it has to be small.

Netgear used to do a small one but it's only 10mbs
Startech do a 5 port one but no idea who sells it, I knwo there is a
small one in PCworld in a network starter kit but I don;'t need cables
or nic's so don't want to buy more than I need.

Thanks

only 10 not 10/100 The Tivo, when I'm extracting video, moves
around a gig a minute so I need the 100 part of it.

Having searched a bit, I'd have to agree. The only thing I could find
that comes close is the 3Com Intellijack, but that's a bit pricy
although quite compact at 7x2.8x7.5cm

The closest conventional product I can find is a Trendnet 5 port, which
looks like it might be just the slightest bit smaller than the Netgear
5 port switch, but bigger than the hub (going visually, I'm too lazy to
go look at specs :-)

http://www.trendnet.com/en/products/...S55Eplus_1.htm

All of these will have bulky transformer wall plugs, so if that's relevant
to you then bear that in mind.

If you have access to a usb port (just for the power) then this switch must
be about as good as you're going to get - it's probably smaller than the
Netgear 4 port hub, and no transformer either. Of course, if you have to
use a usb hub to get a socket to power it off then that's another matter
:-)

NexSwitch SD080s is quite small, 8 port 10/100.
