Are you really sure you want the *cheapest*? Another few pounds might
save you a lot of aggravation.

Cheap is not usually a good idea. I've seen too many problems caused
(random disconnects, poor transfer speeds etc) caused to poor (cheap)
filters.

I got my filters from e-buyer @ £1.96 a pop and they work perfectly. Not
been disconnected yet (been live for 6 weeks)

congratulations. People on longer lines or with some types of DECT
phone or sky box may need very effective filtering, your filters may
be very good or your requirements may be modest - who knows !

Could this be causing the problem I have? Although I have tried a few (different makes of) filter.

I get a "dead" connection every so often - no able to even ping anything, comes back after 5 minutes, or if I log off and on.

Seeing prices at www.qtds.com (what a name!) I'd also think about not
going for the ones below 2 quid right now...
