Hi,

I would like to have some information about the WSG-4000 or 5000.
Basically, if I wanted to install one in a hotel and another one at
the airport, a customer comes off the plane, and buy some internet
access credit at the airport.
Is there a way to centralize the data on a common server so that this
user can use his credit bought at the airport in any hotspot provided
by a WSG-4000 / 5000.

Basically, i think this is called roaming, do they do that?

Thanks.

Jim.

The WSG-4000 can use a centralized AAA server, so yes, it can support
the functionality you describe.

Hi there,

We sell both models. See http://InstantHotSpot.com/

Yes, the WSG-4000 is designed to work with a centralized accounting
and billing system. The WSG-5000 is not designed to work with a
centalized system. Basically, the WSG-5000 has all the same components
as the centralized system built-in so you don't need a centralized
server system. Our Instant HotSpot version can even accept credit
cards!

The question is why do you care to have roaming? In practice, people
don't really take advantage of that feature. Out of 20 loactions that
we have monitored, we have only seen 4 roamers come and go during the
last 12 months.
