I have a puzzling situation I have removed a SpeedStream SS2614
router from a 3 computer working network and replaced it with Linksys
WRT53G wireless router. Two computers are wired desktop and the
laptop is wireless. Everything I am using is Lynksys except for the
NIC. I'm having problems with one computer getting its IP from the
router, the only way I can get it to work is manually assigning it the
IP, Gateway and all other numbers. The laptop started out with the
same problems but after rebooting my cable modem and router (after
resetting to factory defaults) it is working now. All systems are
using XP pro. Is there a setting in XP that could have changed don't
see how. Any help or suggestions (short of telling me where to go)
would be greatly appreciated.
