Is there a firmware out there that supports Port Forwarding like the
DLink 604.

I have a Linksis WRT54G and want to map public ports to private ports
so I can remote into more than one machine at time.

You can configure this on a dlink using the "Virtual Application"
screen.

Thanks for the help!

Google for it. "port forwarding WRT54G" top hit seems most relevant.

Yeah, I already read that post about bit torrent.

I actually need to forward one port to a different port.

If I have an application that runs on port 100 I can only forward it to
one machine. DLink will let you map port 100 to a different port.

Example Public Port Private Port
Computer 1 100 200
Computer 2 100 201

This way two different computers can use the same application such as
remote desktop.

Doesn't look like you can do that with stock firmware. I use RealVNC,
which allows you to pick the port by machine, so you can forward 5900
to one machine and 5800 to another, for instance.

DLink DI-604:

Linksys WRT54G:
http://www.linksysdata.com/ui/WRT54G....7/Forward.htm

Looks like it's not going to happen with the stock WRT54G firmware.

DD-WRT v23 SP1 will do it just fine:

I found the user interface for port forwarding to really suck as it's
difficult to manipulate a large numbers of forwarded ports using the
web based menus. I just hack the iptables with vi and be done with
it.

OpenWRT also does public/private port forwarding.
