WRT54 and WAP54

I want to use my laptop in my garden but the distance to the WRT54 is to
far. No connection. Can I use a WAP54 to repeat the signal of the WRT54?

Or should I buy an external antenne to amplify the signal? Is there anyone
who has experience?

You can use a WAP54G but you'll need two of them.

The antenna will help too, of course, but it depends on where you put it.

Relocating the WRT54G to the garden side of the house may also be a solution.
