Wrong Subnet Mask

Win98 machines configured with DHCP, some machines started
getting the wrong subnet mask, the IP address is correct.

it happened a week after a 3com 4250T switch was
installed. There are no setting on the switch that can
cause this.

WINIPCFG /release and renew usually works, but trying to
find out why this happened.

Any feedback is appreciated.
